Short Bio

Dr Muzaffar Ali is a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the Bond Life Sciences Center at University of Missouri. He received his PhD from University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore Pakistan, and Post-Doctoral training from Duke-NUS Singapore. In 2018, he won One-Health Fellowship award to investigate the influenza virus transmission in the live bird markets and detected novel strain of high path influenza A/H5N8 virus among chickens for the first time in Pakistan. Dr Ali’s research focuses on emergence, evolutionary genetics, and transmission of emerging viruses primarily influenza viruses.
